Vesna Rikic creates amazing 100% paper paintings with quilling technique

Vesna Rikic is a very creative artist who came across an origami book when she was little, something that inspired a love for paper in her. She really admires how a piece of paper can be transformed into art in many ways.

To show her appreciation for paper, she explored many forms of art: origami, paper sculptures, kusudama (spherical and complex origami works of art) and then she found quilling. Quilling means that you use thin paper stripes to create shapes in a canvas.

With a lot of patience and careful placement of the paper stripes, she creates beautiful works of art, sometimes even recreating the works of famous painters like Van Gogh, but mostly original pieces like her beautiful representation of the world map.
